Fancy and coloured sapphires
The captain of the Olympic boxing team (London 2012) Luke Jackson commissioned this stunning Olympic ring as a jewellery piece to celebrate his sporting achievements and Olympic selection. The Olympic ring is made of solid 18ct white gold in the traditional Olympic ring colours. Each of the individual linked Olympic rings features its unique colour in a different precious gem stone. The Blue Olympic ring is Madagascan blue sapphire, the yellow Olympic ring is in Sri Lankan yellow sapphire, the black Olympic ring is in black diamond, the green Olympic ring is in African Tsavorite garnet and the red Olympic ring is in Burmese ruby. The Olympic ring was entirely and proudly made in the Hobart workshop of Metal Urges Tasmania, Australia.
