When first looking into a diamond engagement ring options in Hobart, the different factors and qualities of diamonds were very confusing. I’ve had my engagement ring for a week now and what a week it’s been. It was love at first sight but that love has slowly deepened with each day my finger is gently caressed by its beauty. I love its changing personality. When we’re staring at each other in the bathroom, it shines green, in the lounge a deep blue and just now it twinkles in a pale blue. I love its clean lines and modern look whilst at the same time it manages to look traditional. I love that I can see so much of the stone and I’m fascinated by how it sits in its setting. The contrast between white gold and yellow gold, and gold and sapphire is perfect and I love how it’s solid and durable whilst being refined and delicate.
I also, if possible, love Iain slightly more for giving it to me.
So thank you. And thanks for making the whole process easy and stress free. I feel a little proud that I chose the stone and design and it turned out so well.

We had a very short time frame in which to have our rings made. We knew the design we wanted and had tried a couple of places without success. One evening I sent an email, with a picture of our request, to Metal Urges and received a reply early the next morning. The email was followed up with a personal phone call and the process was underway. We were absolutely delighted with the prompt response and quick attention—particularly from Naomi and Chris: Metal Urges provide fantastic customer service. The rings were ready several days before our celebration which gave time for an adjustment had it been necessary (it wasn’t!) The transaction was completed by email and phone (wonderful when you live in a rural area) and we got the special rings which were exactly what we wanted. When people admire our rings it is lovely to be able to say they were “made in Tasmania by Al of Metal Urges”. We can’t recommend Metal Urges highly enough.
