Metal Urges Fine Jewellery and Diamonds is proud to offer COLLECT, a uniquely Tasmanian fine arts funding idea! This scheme actively enables people to support Tasmanian artists and be able to enjoy their purchases whilst still paying for them, knowing that the artist has been paid in full. The jewellers of Metal Urges Fine Jewellery produces fine quality, diamond jewellery that closely fits the type of art that COLLECT is designed to support!
What is it?
The COLLECT Art Purchase Scheme is an interest free loan program that enables you to purchase or commission a diamond engagement ring or any other diamond jewellery made at Metal Urges by our Tasmanian jewellers.
Who can use it?
All Australian residents can apply to the COLLECT Art Purchase Scheme.
Where can I buy artworks?
The COLLECT Art Purchase Scheme can only be accessed through participating galleries. There is a list of participating galleries on the COLLECT website. Metal Urges Fine Jewellery is the only dedicated diamond jewellery gallery aligned with COLLECT.
What artworks can I buy?
Any form of artwork can be bought with COLLECT. At Metal Urges Fine Jewellery we offer Diamond rings and other diamond jewellery as our art form. COLLECT purchases must be from a Tasmanian living artist from a participating gallery that retails between $400 – $10,000.
How much can I borrow?
The minimum amount you can borrow for your diamond jewellery purchase at Metal Urges is $750 and the maximum is $7,500. This means that you can buy a number of lower priced works retailing at $400 upwards, or with a deposit of $2,500 you can buy a single $10,000 work.
What does it cost?
There are no application or administrative costs. The only cost is the retail price of the artwork.
When do I have to repay the loan?
The maximum length of the loan is one year. Repayments are to be made each month via direct debit in 12 equal instalments. There are no penalties for early pay out of the loan. All applications are submitted on line at www.collect-art.com.au
How long does it take to process my application?
Once received it takes five days to process your application. If your application is approved you then have a further five days to sign and return your loan agreement. Once approved you may then collect your diamond jewellery from Metal Urges.
What if I live interstate?
Metal Urges is happy to offer free secure, courier delivery of your finished diamond ring or other jewellery anywhere within Australia.
Who provides the loan?
The loan is provided by arts@work, the industry development arm of Arts Tasmania, Department of Environment, Parks, Heritage and the Arts.
How many loans can I have at one time?
You can only have one active loan at a time through the COLLECT Art Purchase Scheme.
